The Home Project is an NGO that runs 11 shelters for unaccompanied minor’s refugees in Athens- Greece, providing in more than 300 children the last 20 months’ accommodation, psychosocial support, educational activities and integration activities. The facilitator is member of the child protection team and together with the participants will try to understand the difficulties that an underage boy or girl faces in everyday life as refugee.
Within the session, the participants will play the role of different kinds of refugees who have to address their claim and what situations arise in running a shelter for unaccompanied minor’s refugees.
Moreover, the participants will be able to be informed especially regarding the cases of unaccompanied minors being refugees in Europe, the procedures and to address questions.
