How to welcome and include migrants in our NSO and youth work

The SGDF session consists of 3 main parts.

1. Part one : presentation of our NGO and in which political and social context we currently are.

2. During the second part, we will present 3 projects and a campaign of welcoming migrants :
a. the main questions we asked ourselves before launching the
projects of welcoming non scouts during our summer camps :
financial, legal, adaptation of our practices…
b. how partnership work has been essential for the planning
team in these projects
c. presentation of few participants testimonies

3. The third part will be more participative. Three tables with three topics we are working on and wondering. We hope this part can help us and help participants to enrich practices and tools. Considered topics* : religion and inter-religion, welcoming adults, youth mobilisation for welcoming.

Tumult will share practical tips and tricks on how to include young refugees as a volunteer in youth work. How you can reach out to them and how you can motivate them. These tips come from experiences Tumult collected during summercamps and volunteer leader courses.
